Allison Mindel, Major Gifts Officer

Allison Mindel

In addition to running ISC’s major gift program, Allison Mindel is ISC’s social media maven and the voice of ISC on Twitter and Facebook. She joined ISC in 1999 as a program associate, and has also served as development associate and special assistant to the president. Previously, Mindel worked at the Open Society Institute/Soros Foundation in New York as information officer for the Forced Migration Projects and assistant to the vice president for national foundations. Mindel holds a master's degree in Russian and East European Studies from Indiana University and a bachelor's degree in Government from Beloit College. Her graduate research focused on refugee policy in Hungary, particularly in relation to flows from the former Yugoslavia. She has spent more than two years living and working in Hungary including work as an English teacher in a high school and refugee camp. She currently serves on the board of the People's Health and Wellness Clinic in Barre, Vermont.
