As Senior Program Officer, Matthew DeGroot provides management support and serves as point person for ISC's portfolio of environmental programs in China. He has managed a range of ISC projects and activities in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, worked previously as a university instructor in Kazakhstan, and is conversant in Russian. Although well versed in ISC's core community and environmental programs, DeGroot also brings significant experience and interest in the area of information technology— in particular, the practical application of customized technology solutions that advance ISC's mission objectives.

Matthew's previous work experience includes high-level management and IT consulting support to Fortune 100 companies in streamlining their global supply chains—critical to ISC's current work in China. DeGroot holds a BA from Calvin College and an MA in International Affairs from Indiana University.
