Ana Pejova

Ana Pejova joined ISC in March 2007 as the Capacity Building Manager for the Civil Society Strengthening Program (CSSP) in Macedonia, and currently serves as Grant Program Director. Pejova brings to ISC nine years of diverse professional experience, during which she specialized in decentralization and citizen participation related activities.

Prior to joining ISC, Pejova served as the Citizen Participation Team Leader for DAI's Make Decentralization Work Project. Her work for DAI included the provision of technical assistance and support to local governments in establishing Citizen Information Centers and Citizen Advisory Boards, conducting Public Hearings, and introducing Citizen's Charters; the management of public education campaigns and other citizen participation activities; the establishment of liaisons with local stakeholders; the organization and facilitation of trainings for local stakeholders; and the assistance in local economic development activities.

Pejova holds a BA in French Language and Literature from the University Sveti Kiril I Metodij in Skopje. As a Chevening Scholar, she earned an MA in International Development from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 2006. She is fluent in English, French and Slovenian, with over 10 years of translating experience.
