Armend Bekaj, Deputy Chief of Party

Armend Bekaj was appointed to his current position as the Deputy Chief of Party for ISC in February 2009.

Before joining ISC, he worked for the OSCE Mission in Kosovo as a Political Advisor, offering policy support to the Assembly of Kosovo in the area of parliamentary oversight on security. Prior to that, he worked in the non-governmental sector in Kosovo and England, focusing on analytical writing (think-tanks) and advocacy campaigning (human rights and refugee charity organizations). He brings with him a wide experience in program management and policy formulation.

Armend has an MA on Conflict Resolution from Peace Studies Department of the University of Bradford, and BA on International Relations from the University of Leeds, UK. He speaks Albanian, English and Serbian.
